Good clinical supervision is about trust-creating a safe space for practitioners to reflect, learn, and develop resilience in your work.

My supervision style focuses on reflective learning and feedback. This approach helps supervisees grow by turning challenging experiences into useful skills through ongoing discussions and learning cycles with the supervisor. Supervision follows four stages: orientation, building trust, developing skills, and gaining independence.

I believe experience shapes intuition over time. New counselors often feel anxious due to the uncertainty of the counseling process, while experienced counselors rely on past learning to navigate challenges. Because of this, newer counselors need more guidance and structure, whereas experienced counselors benefit from a more flexible approach.

What is Feedback-Informed Supervision?

Feedback-Informed Supervision (FIT) focuses on client outcomes and feedback rather than a single counseling model. It can be applied across different therapy styles and settings. The goal is to ensure services are engaging and effective. FIT supervision follows these key principles:

  1. A strong client-therapist relationship leads to better treatment outcomes.

  2. Since client and therapist perceptions of progress often differ, regular feedback is essential.

  3. No single approach works for all clients or problems.

  4. Continuous feedback helps address diverse client needs.

I use tools like self-assessments, discussions, and the Leeds Alliance Supervision Scale (LASS) to track progress. Supervisees must complete one hour of supervision per 40 hours of clinical work. We will evaluate clinical methods, practices, and treatment effectiveness during these sessions.

The LASS keeps feedback open and monitors the supervisor-supervisee relationship in three areas: approach, relationship, and meeting the supervisee’s needs. It will be used bi-weekly.

Together, we will set and review goals during supervision sessions or as required. I will keep brief session notes and provide written evaluations as needed or at the end of supervision.

Structured, one-on-one professional session with the primary goal of enhancing the counselor's skills, ethical decision-making, and professional development while ensuring the quality of client care.

WHAT THIS ENTAILS:

  • Case discussions where the supervisee explores clinical interventions and challenges.

  • Skill development through feedback and reflection.

  • Ethical guidance to navigate complex counseling situations.

DIDATIC SUPERVISION $75/HOUR & TRIDATIC SUPERVISION $50/HOUR

Triadic supervision in clinical counseling is a structured supervisory model involving one supervisor and two supervisees. This approach allows for collaborative learning, peer support, and enhanced professional development while maintaining individualized feedback from the supervisor.

WHAT THIS ENTAILS:

  • Collaborative Learning – Supervisees learn from each other’s experiences, observations, and feedback.

  • Supervisor Guidance – The supervisor facilitates discussions, provides direct feedback, and models ethical and clinical competencies.

  • Peer Interaction – Supervisees engage in case discussions, role-playing, and reflective practice together.

  • Balanced Attention – The supervisor ensures that both supervisees receive equal opportunities for growth and learning.
